The Association contributed for the direction for eight challenges in REATE
At July 30th, the Mines and Energy Ministry (MME) promoted an event about Revitalização da Atividade de Exploração e Produção de Petróleo e Gás Natural em Áreas Terrestres Program – REATE event called Round REATE at Alagoas. The oil and gas MME secretary, José Mauro Coelho, directors and superintendents of Oil, Gas and Biofuels Nacional Agency (ANP) and Energy Research Office (EPE), Petrobras representants and local authorities were participated.
ABPIP contributed for the direction for eight challenges with represents oil and gas independent producers in REATE. The challenges subjects were emission and renovation for environmental licenses, prices for infrastructure’s access to storage and flow of oil in maritime terminals, oil commercial and development of cadaster for oil and gas suppliers.
According to Anabal Santos Jr., ABPIP executive secretary which represented ABPIP in the event, the REATE contributed for the advance to national politics for oil and gas exploration and production activities in terrestrial areas, focus on the development for strong industry with plural oil and gas operators and suppliers of goods and services to E&P activities. “To this moment, the need arrives to create a new calendar, with urgency to advance the subjects so they don’t accumulate.”
The REATE Round already happened at Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, and Espírito Santo. Among 33 REATE proposed referrals at REATE Rio Grande do Norte Round in November 2020, only 15 were concluded, which represents 45% achievements, and between 48 REATE proposed referrals at REAT Bahia Round, only 12 were concluded, which means 25% achievements. This was the 4ª REATE Round, and two more rounds are planning for this year at Amazonas and Sergipe.
