The Association

The Brazilian Association of Independent Producers Oil and Gas – ABPIP, created on March 9, 2007, is comprised of companies holding a concession for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Brazil and abroad (effective partner), of companies wishing to come owns concessions of this nature in Brazil (aspiring developer partner), as well as suppliers of goods and services in the chain of E & P oil and natural gas (supplier partner collaborator).

The main objective of the Association is to promote, protect and encourage the development of the activity of exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Brazilian sedimentary basins, facing the stimulus independent firms in the institutional, corporate, technological and operational, in order to consolidate of a competitive, sustainable, ethical and socially responsible business. The development of this industry segment, in charge of independent companies, is of paramount strategic importance, for the role they can play in job creation and regional development in addition to the work conducted by large enterprises, most devoted to larger projects.

The creation of ABPIP allowed to their associated to have a body active in the defense and consolidation of independent production segment of the oil and gas in Brazil. For this, his performance is necessarily focused on removing barriers to better performance of independent operators and the search for a policy of encouraging small and medium enterprises producing oil and gas.

To achieve its objectives, the ABPIP has the support and coordination between various institutions related to the sector, such as: Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP), ONIP, State Governments, Municipal, Regulatory Agencies, Ministries, among others.
